Firecracker Run and 4th of July Parade

Every year, thousands of Quad City residents celebrate Independence Day in East Moline, Illinois. The day starts out with a 5k and 10k road race. Here you will be able to run with, or watch the Quad City’s best runners complete for bragging rights in this large race. Many people who grew up in the area and have moved elsewhere, return to compete in this yearly race.

The race course is truly an Independence Day celebration, with bands lined up throughout the race course helping to move the runners along with their tunes.

After the races, the largest 4th of July Parade in the Quad Cities takes place along the streets of East Moline.
