Gumbo Ya Ya

Gumbo Ya Ya is an annual event that takes place in the District of Rock Island. If you want to experience a taste of New Orleans Mardi Gras, then this is the place to be.

The main draw to the event is the authentic music. Zydeco and Cajun bands play authentic ethnic music. Sample the New Orleans cuisine, including fresh Crawfish, Cajon Sausage, Jambalaya, and much more as you listen to the bands.

Don’t be surprised when you see people dancing away in masks with beads draped about their necks. Gumbo Ya Ya gets bigger and better every year. If you want to experience New Orleans, then this is the place to be as Madri Gras moves up the mighty Mississippi for a weekend of celebration.
