Duck Creek Parkway
Duck Creek Parkway, a multiple-use paved trail system, extending from Emeis Park in west Davenport 8.26 miles east to Bettendorf. A second paved trail, Riverfront Parkway, extends 4.75 miles along the Mississippi waterfront from Credit Island to Bettendorf. Both these trails have additional sections in Bettendorf.
Fejervary Park
The Fejervary Children's Zoo is located in scenic Fejervary Park, adjacent to the Davenport Museum of Art and the Putnam Museum of Natural History on West 12 th Street. Illiniwek Forest Preserve
Illiniwek Forest Preserve, adjoining the east side of Hampton, Illinois along Route 84, contains 206 acres. Illiniwek's setting on the Mississippi River is ideally situated for a combination of recreation, both on land and in the water. Facilities available at the park include primitive camping areas, sixty pads with water and electric hookups, shower houses, and a dumping station. Other facilities include boat launch ramps, hiking trails, a picnic shelter, and a wooded bluff picnic area overlooking the Mississippi River.
Indian Bluff Forest Preserve
Indian Bluff Forest Preserve contains 188 acres lying atop a low bluff overlooking the Rock River Valley just south of the Quad City Airport. The main feature of the forest preserve is its 18 hole irrigated golf course. Golfing supplies, refreshments, and rental carts are available at the pro shop and clubhouse. Other features include a picnic shelter (which may be reserved), picnic areas, game areas, and playground equipment.
LeClaire Park and Band shell
With a full size outdoor stage, 750 festival seats and three acres of festival space. The Band shell is the site of the Bix Jazz Festival, the Mississippi Blues Festival, River Rockin Ribfest, and the Symphony Pops Concert. Located next to Rhythm City Casino in Davenport.
Loud Thunder Forest Preserve
Loud Thunder Forest Preserve is located southwest of the Quad Cities area, seven miles west of Andalusia; off Illinois Route 92. The 1,600 acre forest preserve offers the visitor recreational activities including camping, hiking, picnic shelters, boating (boat rentals available), and fishing. Two of the main attractions at Loud Thunder are the 167 acre Lake George and the Mississippi River, which serves as its northern boundary. With 1280 acres, is the largest in Scott County. Located nine miles north of Davenport off U.S. Highway 61, the park has twelve picnic areas and shelters with tables, grills and/or fireplaces accessible. It offers two baseball fields, playground equipment, a radio-controlled airplane site, nature trails, an equestrian area and four unique camping areas. Modern restrooms and showers are available. Camping fees range from $9 to $15 depending on services. An olympic size swimming pool located near the Indian Hills Shelter has lifeguards and offers summer swimming lessons. Walnut Grover Pioneer Village
Walnut Grove was a Scott County cross-roads settlement and stage coach stop of the 1860s. The Village includes 18 historic buildings , some relocated from rural Scott County.

West Lake Park
West Lake Park is a 620 acre facility offering four lakes for fishing and/or swimming. A boat dock, parking lot, handicap fishing dock, beach area, and paddle boat rentals are available for the water enthusiast. For the landlubbers - the park offers picnic facilities, playground areas, modern restrooms and two campground areas with electrical, water, and/or sewer hook-ups. The fees for camping range from $9 to $15 per night. Both camping areas have comfort stations and are equipped for the handicapped.

American Discovery Trail
A planned multi-purpose recreational transportation corridor that conceptually extends from California to Delaware. The trail gives local users the opportunity to ride or walk a trail of national significance. The American Discovery Trail travels north from Muscatine, Iowa along the Great River Trail from Buffalo to Davenport, Iowa. At the Arsenal Island, the American Discovery Trail crosses the Mississippi River into Rock Island County to the Illinois Great River Trail. It continues into Illinois to the Hennepin Canal State Parkway via East Moline, Silvis, Carbon Cliff and Colona. It leaves the Quad Cities from Colona along the Hennepin Canal east 75 miles to Ottawa.
The Great River Trail
A 62 mile Mississippi River experience from Rock Island's Sunset Marina to Savanna, Illinois. Always in sight or sound of the mighty waterway, it is a biking, hiking or jogging event which will pull you back time and time again. The Great River Trail is one of the many partners making up the 475 miles Grand Illinois Trail. This lengthy trail from the shores of the Mississippi to the beaches of Lake Michigan loops around Northern Illinois and offers outstanding vistas of both metropolitan and rural settings. In Rock Island County, the trail passes by such sites as the Rock Island Arsenal, the Quad City Botanical Center, Sylvan Island and The Mark of the Quad Cities.
The Great River Road
Parallels the Mississippi River from its source in Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico. Over 3000 miles of federal, state and county roads make up the Great River Road and meander through woodlands, farmlands and river towns, north-south through the heart of our vast country. The Great River Road in Illinois was designated a federal Scenic Byway in the year 2000. The Illinois portion of the byway follows Route 84 and Illinois 92 along the River in Rock Island County. Water recreation, sports, cruises and historical areas are featured in the county. The historic Rock Island Arsenal and Civil War Confederate Prisoners Cemetery share an island in the river with the Corps of Engineers and Dam #15 Visitor Center. The Quad City area is one of the largest metropolitan concentrations on this portion of the Mississippi River.
